Primary Classroom Car 12 was one of EDSEC cars that focus on education. This specific car housed the Primary-School level Classroom with the headteacher being Miss Gillies
History[]
While we can presume this is not the only class on Snowpiercer as this car appears to teach only Elementary school level of knowledge, this is the only confirmed classroom car. Passengers from the 1st Class could request tutoring from Miss Gillies. In The Tortoise and the Hare, Miss Gillies is shown to have a different classroom elsewhere -- although it appears to be a single room rather than a whole car -- where Doctor Pelton borrows Winnie to pass a message for The Resistance.
Throughout The Series[]
In Trouble Comes Sideways, Breachman Bojan "Boki" Boscovic gives Miss Gillies' class a presentation before Melanie Cavill arrives looking for his help with the Torretta Canyon Crisis. Miles shows Melanie some work that she had assigned to him that he had completed.
In The Universe Is Indifferent, class is in session when Melanie announces that Miles is now an Engineer apprentice and has been fast-tracked to the Engine itself. Miles' classmates and friends congratulate him on the accomplishment.
In The Train Demanded Blood, Robert Folger, Lilah Folger, Commander Nolan Grey and their army of Jackboots turn the Classroom Car and the surrounding six cars into their headquarters during the First Snowpiercer War. When Andre Layton seemingly surrenders, he is taken to the Classroom for a surrender ceremony by Sam Roche who is secretly working with Layton. As part of the plan, Melanie, Layton, Bennett Knox, and Miles disconnect the seven cars from Snowpiercer to get rid of the Folgers, Grey, and their army. It was in the Classroom that the Folgers, eight other First Class Passengers (1st Class Committee) and the majority of the Jackboots are left to freeze to death on the Fremont Junction.

The interior of the classroom car is decorated in brightly colored pictures as well as illustrations of planets and animals. Each classroom has a certain amount of desks that have the names of children written on the side.
