Doctor Kanu is a recurring character in TNT's Snowpiercer. He is portrayed by Ryan Mah.
Doctor Kanu is Snowpiercer's resident psychiatrist by the time of Season 3, however it is evident that this was not his original ticketed role. It is stated facetiously by Roche that the only reason he has this position is because he brought with him the largest collection of self help books aboard the train.
History[]
Throughout The Series[]
Season 1:
In These Are His Revolutions, when Walter Flemming realized Doctor Pelton was giving a signal that the revolution is starting, he excused himself from Doctor Kanu and met up with Astrid.
Season 3:
Following the attempted murder of Joseph Wilford, Sam Roche is placed in solitary confinement under Doctor Kanu's oversight. In Born to Bleed, Ruth asks Doctor Kanu about Roche's condition. He remarks that Roche is calm but still obsessed with retribution. He thanks Ruth and Till for coming almost everyday. Ruth told Roche that someone tried to assassin Layton and the train needs him to get back to work. Roche denied and told Ruth that the only reason Kanu gets to be psychiatrist is because he boarded the train with many self-help books.
