Season 4[]

In The Sting of Survival, as Admiral Anton Milius' forces take over the train, Tristan hides in Hospitality as they pass by. Miss Audrey arrives and has Tristan point her to the panic button so that she can warn the Engine, but Tristan decides to stay behind when Audrey leaves. Milius and his men later force Tristan to broadcast a message ordering everyone to evacuate to Third Class and then their threat to let 100 passengers die in the partially breached Market Car in order to force Melanie Cavill to surrender. However, Tristan takes the opportunity to broadcast information about the guards on the car, allowing Melanie and Bennett Knox to plan a rescue for the passengers. Milius then warns Tristan not to be a hero as it never ends well for heroes.

In North Star, Tristan is at the assembly line when Doctor Pelton brings in Layton and Josie. Excited to see them, Tristan waves at his friends and Layton signals him to stop. Spotting guards coming, Tristan signals the workers to riot and leads Layton into the Sub-Train so that he can sneak past the guards while Doctor Pelton helps Josie.

In The Engineer, Tristan is brought in by Milius' forces to guide Layton and his crew's departure into the Silo after Layton agrees to surrender Big Alice in exchange for being taken to his daughter. When Bennett and Bess Till arrive amidst Snowpiercer's moved up departure, Bennett explains to Tristan that they're stealing Big Alice, but Ruth is still in the Silo and Tristan promises to wait for as long as he can. When Ruth finally arrives, Tristan shoves a box into the closing doorway so that she can make it onboard the train, earning him her praise. Tristan is subsequently one of the Snowpiercer passengers who escapes on Big Alice heading for New Eden.

In Bell the Cat, Tristan is amongst the passengers who gather to hear Ruth's attempt at an inspiring speech. Later, Tristan brings Ruth a knife to use in the ceremony honoring the sacrifice of Bennett Knox and he is the second passenger to carve part of the inscription over the Engine's helm after Bess Till.

In By Weeping Cross, Tristan and the other passengers aboard Big Alice finally reach New Eden and Tristan looks around in awe as he walks through the town. Tristan later suggests to Ruth that whoever can't fight will move to the sleeper cars, pleasing her as they will be safe there and coordinates with Z-Wreck to help prepare everyone for the upcoming battle.

In Season 4, in a moment of bravery, Tristan went so far as to broadcast information about Admiral Anton Milius' forces, allowing Melanie and Bennett to plan a rescue. With most of the train's leaders in New Eden, Tristan appears to have taken up a leadership role amongst the remaining passengers, sparking a riot as a distraction and leading Layton into the subtrain to search for his daughter.
